A modernist restaurant shaped by nature, craft, and fire

The interior design for Fireside Restaurant is a contemporary interpretation of Utah’s natural wonders, translating elemental landscapes and geological formations into a warm, immersive dining experience inspired by earth art and natural modernism. Sculptural wood forms, rich plaster finishes, patinated metals, and a palette that moves from deep midnight blues in the bar to lighter, mineral-infused hues in the dining room evoke canyon walls, desert skies, and the quiet drama of the Salt Lake terrain.

Carved walnut arches, tactile leather upholstery, and locally crafted details ground the space in a strong sense of place, while the exhibition kitchen and wood-fired elements elevate fire as a visual and experiential focal point. The result is a timeless yet contemporary environment, rooted in nature and shaped by craft, that unfolds as a layered, sensory journey from entry to hearth.
